A stunning piece of spalted beech. This is one of the last pieces of wood have from a supplier who was an expert in developing spalted beech in this way. The supplier retired a while ago and I haven’t yet found anyone who is as skilled at handling this timber. I’ve turned this into a classic rounded bowl shape, which shows off the natural patterns in the wood.
