One of my favourite styles to make - I love working with ash and especially when I can get this striking contrast between the charred, yakisugi finish on the outside with the clean, natural finish on the inside. The yakisugi technique, which involves burning the outside with a blowtorch, gives a beautiful texture to the wood, while the inside is finished smooth.
